Ambition's Graveyard

Climate Museum UK is an experimental museum curating and gathering responses to the Earth crisis. Not a building, we&rsquo;re a collective of creative people based across the UK with a strong presence in Norfolk. Passionate about the state of the planet, we produce and gather art, objects, ideas, games and books, and then use these to activate people for good. These activations help people to play, make, think and talk about the Earth crisis and to open their imaginations to possible futures.&nbsp;

We are a group comprising of local members of the community working together in Norwich for the well-being of people within the limits of the planet.&nbsp;
Our Aims:
1.) Achieve effective action in a City of inequality and on a planet with breached limits.&nbsp;

Norwich Doughnut Community

Norwich FarmShare's vision is to grow a local food system that educates, connects and empowers our local community to be healthier and more resilient, to be rooted to the land and to each other, and to experience a direct relationship with how our food is produced.&nbsp;
We do this by providing fruit and veg to our members every week, combining what we grow with produce we buy in from other local projects. Members collect their veg bags from hubs in the city centre or get it delivered by bicycle courier.​
We also have a vibrant volunteering programme, as well as hosting educational and social events for our members and the wider public.

On this workshop you will explore the planetary and earth system boundaries and their tipping points, creating art to inspire hope and action for a safe and healthy future for people and planet, our community and our home. Adapting theory to your local reality we will explore the facts and use art to find hope for a sustainable, just and resilient world.
Create new stories of Resilience &amp; Sustainability

We Are Nature
On this workshop you will explore and celebrate nature as essential for our existence and whose welfare is our responsibility. We will increase our collective levels of nature literacy, understanding what nature does for us as a source for a healthy life, not as a resource to be plundered. You will&nbsp;create&nbsp;art about nature local to you to help&nbsp;inspire society to place&nbsp;humanity within, not as the&nbsp;master of, nature.

We are the local group of Friends of the Earth in Norwich and Norfolk.
We're working to protect and sustain the natural environment in Norwich and the surrounding area.
We camapign locally and, where appropriate, nationally and internationally, on environmental issues, including, for example, biodiversity, climate change, climate justice, energy, habitat, pollution, transport, waste, and wildlife.
We aim to bring people together to promote positive change and work collaboratively with other groups across the city towards shared goals.

We recycle and refurbish bikes and parts and provide volunteers and marginalised groups with opportunities, equality and empowerment. The Sainsbury Centre is a world class art museum with a unique perspective on how art can foster cultural dialogue and exchange. Following a radical relaunch in 2023 the Sainsbury Centre is the first museum in the world to formally recognise the living lifeforce of art, enabling people to build relationships across an arts landscape.
The art of the Sainsbury Centre is able to help reframe and answer the most important questions people have in their lives. It is not a museum to only learn more about artists, cultures or movements like Francis Bacon, the Tang Dynasty or Modernism, it is a place of experience, where collections are animate, and visitors are emotionally connected.
One of the first museums in the world to display art from all around the globe and from all time periods equally and collectively, Sir Robert and Lady Lisa Sainsbury created one of the most sought after yet non-conformist art collections.
In 1973 they donated their collection, which transcended traditional barriers between art, architecture, archaeology and anthropology, to the UEA, and created an entirely new type of museum. Housed in Sir Norman Foster&rsquo;s revolutionary first ever public building, the space aimed for an interactive relationship between people, object and landscape, where art was placed within an open yet intimate &lsquo;living area&rsquo;.

Sportspark originally opened its doors for the first time in 2000. Funded primarily by the Lottery and Sport England it has become one of the most successful community sport facilities in the UK. Our success has been achieved through providing an accessible facility that offers a diverse range of activities with an operating policy that maximises the number of different people who can use the facility at affordable prices.

Norwich Writers Rebel is a local offshoot of Writers Rebel, the writing arm of Extinction Rebellion. We are an inclusive community of writers of all genres (or those with an interest in writing) who are exploring the climate and ecological emergency in their work. We meet for socials, writing workshops (both inside and outside in nature) and open mics.

Grapes Hill Community Garden is a grass-roots community garden project, only a short&nbsp;walk from Norwich City centre. The small garden (50 metre by 12metre) is looked after by the&nbsp;volunteer-led Grapes Hill Community Garden Group (GHCGG), a Registered Charity (No. 1156616). The group was set up over 14 years ago by local residents to turn a patch of unloved, Council-owned,&nbsp;tarmacked land to a colourful and bountiful community-owned garden with the aim of supporting&nbsp;local resident&rsquo;s health and wellbeing. The garden&rsquo;s vision is to provide a community space for local residents to be a part of creating and&nbsp;maintaining, to connect with nature and each other, and to learn to grow both edible and non-edible&nbsp;plants in a natural way using organic principles. The garden also hosts a number of events and&nbsp;workshops throughout the year to connect local residents and the wider community with the garden, nature and increase awareness of biodiversity and environmentally friendly gardening and nature-based activities. We also signpost people to other services and support they might need to support&nbsp;their health and wellbeing.
